Using Blogspot
I had never used blogspot before starting the media course, however I have really enjoyed using this site as I have developed my knowledge on how to use the system. When I first started using the website I found it quite hard to use as there was so much to know about how to use the blog. However further on into the course I now find it really easy to use. The only thing that I find really disappointing about this facility is that the majority of pictures that I have uploaded have turned out to be really blurred when you look at them afterwards which is really annoying. But apart from that I am really pleased about how easy it is to view the blog and how all my work has been presented and I would definitely recommend this website to other people who are considering starting to use blogs especially how you can personalise and edit your blog to how you want it to look. I also really liked how easy the website is to use and how all my work can be easily found and how it is presented on the blog overall.
Photo Edits
To edit all of these photos I used photoshop. I had never used this form of technology before meaning it took me a while to edit all of these photos as I had to find tutorials online on how to use the technology and get the photo exactly how I wanted it to look like.

Double-page spread mock-up
Here I have created my double-page spread mock up. This is where I am going to have a written article that links in with the front page of my magazine. This means that I am going to have a double-page spread all about my chosen artist name 'Rosie Wallis'. My first idea for the double page is that all along the top of the page I am going to have different images of the artist. However I want these images to look like a time frame, meaning that it look like the pictures have all happened within a short period of time. The image shot that I am going to use to capture my idea of a time frame is a close-up shot. I believe that by using this type of shot it will look the most effective. I have also decided that on top of these pictures that I am going to write each individual letter of the artists name over the images. I am going to place each letter in black boxes and have a white typography. The reason that I am going to use these colours is that I am going to use them on my content page so therefore I want them to link in together and look professional as I believe it would look really messy if I were to use lots of different colours all over the page. However I think it is going to look really good having the artists name really clear at the top of the page. I have also never seen anything like this before which means that I am original and unique as I have thought up a brand new idea.On the left hand side of the page I am going to place images all down the left hand side. I have decided to do this vertical as I want it to look like passport photos after they have been done. For this I am going to use the same image and then by using photo shop I am going to edit all the photos with different colours over the top meaning this should look really cool but different at the same time. These photos are also going to be a close-up shot as I believe this sort of look that I am going for will look a lot better than using a long-shot. Next to these images I am going to place two big images that are on top of each other. These images are going to take up the majority of the page and are going to be a close-up shot and then also a mid close up shot. I am also going to edit the top image and probably place it in black and white as I do not want my readers getting bored of seeing the same image over and over again. The top and the bottom image are also going to be the same however the top image is going to be a close-up shot and then the one below a mid close up shot.On the right hand side of the paqe underneath the strip of pictures I am going to have all the typography and the article for my final magazine. I am going to write the article in two columns and at the end of the article I am also thinking about posting a picture of a CD that the artist has just bought out. The reason that I have decided to write my article in columns is that this is what most magazines have done and also it is the most professional way of writing an article. I am also going to look at other magazine articles to give a idea about what I want my final article to be around. I am also going to place 'buzz words' in my article (but also on other parts of the magazine) At the top of the magazine I am going to place the CD name that I decide to use, I am going to do this as it will give a clear direction about what the article is about. I am going to write the article in black typography and then I am going to highlight all the key lines in purple but then also make them a bigger font as this should therefore stand out on the page and be one of the first things that the reader is going to read.

Contents Page Mock-Up
Here I have created my final content pages mock-up for my final magazine. This means that when I have all the pictures ready I will then begin to put together my final contents page. At the top left of the page I have placed my 'masthead' this will be labelled the title of the page which is 'CONTENTS'. I will make sure that the font I use will be big and bold meaning it will stand out on the page and be clear for people to see. Underneath the masthead I am going to place an image with my magazine name on. I have decided to do this as from my research I have done beforehand I have seen that other magazines have done this and I want my magazine to look as professional as possible. (I am thinking of editing the masthead over a picture as I think this will look cool but also link in with the masthead as I'm thinking the picture can be a group of fans looking really excited) ; I am also going to place all of the typography in white as I believe this will stand out the most as I will make the background colours quite dark meaning the white font will stand out and look professional.
Underneath the magazine title I am then going to place a heading which will be labelled 'Features' I have decided to do this as a contents page is all about telling the reader what is inside the magazine. Then in the column I am going to have a list of artists that will be featured in the magazine. I am going to have this column all black and then use a white typography. I have decided to use these colours as white on a black background will be really clear and effective. I also want it to stand out on the page meaning people will straight away be interested in what is going on inside of the magazine. After I have written all of the artists names I am then going to write all of the page numbers in a red font. I am going to do this as it will be different to the white typography meaning it is representing something completely different.
I am then going to have a lot of different images that are on the paqe. The 3 thumb nail pictures at the top of the magazine are all going to be different artists pictures that I am using. I have decided to do this as it shows that there is more than one artist inside of the magazine but also that I am capable of taking professional photos of different people as well. I am going to have these artists pictures smaller than my main artist picture as I do not want these pictures to take over the magazine. But also I want the pictures to all be different shapes and sizes so therefore it will make the magazine look interesting and exciting instead of the same and boring.
I am then going to have my central image on my contents page as the same person that I am going to use for my central image on the front of the magazine. I have done this so they will then co-inside with each other and the readers can get the feeling that the magazine is about one main artist. I am then going to place two more thumb nail images underneath the central image of the page. These pictures are also going to be of the same artist of the central image. I am also going to place these images smaller underneath the central image.
